What level does it normalise to?
Loudness mode targets an average level of about −18 dB RMS with peaks kept under −0.1 dB, close to broadcast and streaming recommendations. Peak mode targets −1 dB.
Will it distort?
No. The gain is capped so the loudest peak never exceeds the maximum level.
