Does removing the audio lower the video quality?
No. The video stream is copied byte for byte into a new file without the audio track, so the picture is identical to the original.
Why is it so fast?
Nothing is decoded or encoded. The tool reads the file, keeps the video packets and skips the audio ones. A one-hour recording takes a few seconds.
Can I keep a copy of the audio?
