Slow motion repeats each frame for longer, so the smoothness depends on the source frame rate. Footage shot at 60 fps looks fluid at 0.5×; 30 fps footage plays at an effective 15 fps at half speed, which still reads well for gentle motion.

Can it make slow motion smoother by adding frames?
Not yet. Frames are held longer, not interpolated. Shoot at 60 fps or higher for the smoothest slow motion.
What happens to the sound?
It is stretched with the pitch preserved by default, so speech stays at its natural pitch but slower. Turn “Keep pitch” off for the deep tape effect.
Can I slow down only one part?
Trim the part first, slow it down, then merge the pieces with the merge tool.
