Speed up a video
Double speed is preset; go up to 8× for a time-lapse. Speech stays understandable up to about 2×, and you can drop the audio entirely for faster clips.

or click to choose files. Drop several to process them all with the same settings.
Speeding up drops frames evenly so the result stays at or below 60 fps. A ten-minute screen recording at 4× becomes a two-and-a-half-minute clip with the same resolution and sharpness.
How to speed up a video

- Pick the speed. 1.5×, 2×, 4×, 8× or any custom value. Keep or drop the audio.

Questions people ask
Does the audio become a chipmunk voice?
Not unless you want it to. By default the audio is time-stretched with its pitch preserved. Turn “Keep pitch” off for the classic effect.
What speed is good for a time-lapse?
8× turns an hour into seven and a half minutes; for a true time-lapse look, run the result through the tool again for 64×.
Does the file get smaller?
Yes, roughly in proportion to the shorter length.
